The mission of Internal Audit is to provide independent assurance and insight, globally and locally, on Governance, Risk Management, and Internal Control, to support the Board and the senior management in reaching their objectives. We contribute to the Company by promoting a control culture and by initiating and agreeing on improvements and action plans. We report to senior management, the Management Committee, and the Audit Committee. We are a team of about 70 based in Brussels, London, Amsterdam and Paris, and our activities cover the entire Euroclear group.

Role

The main role of the Senior Data Analyst in Internal Audit is to apply various analytics techniques to data and generate value and insights for audits. You will be part of the Internal Audit data team, collaborating with auditors from all business domains and locations of the group. You will also be involved in other types of tasks in your daily work, such as automation (Continuous Auditing), exploring new technologies/tools, and participating in improvement initiatives.

Your objective

You will:

  • Lead or contribute to preparing and driving data testing strategies for the assigned audits. This involves analyzing and understanding the audited business processes and their supporting data.
  • Lead or contribute to identifying and delivering Continuous Auditing opportunities using advanced data techniques and automation;
  • Manage relationships and establish proactive interactions with auditors, business managers, data suppliers, IT (Information Technology) specialists and other data analysts in the company;
  • Propose ideas or contribute to initiatives to improve the functioning and productivity of our division by using data and automation.

Technical skills

  • You have a master's degree in a field where data are relevant (sciences, math, finance, etc.);
  • You have at least five years of experience as a data analyst;
  • You can analyze business flows to bring value with data;
  • Experience with the following technologies is a plus: Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft PowerBI & PowerAutomate, relational database & SQL, Hadoop ecosystem, Python, process mining.

Soft skills

  • You are self-confident, autonomous, and able to work as a member of a team;
  • You are analytical and have a proven problem-solving ability;
  • You can collect, manage, evaluate, and use data with critical thinking skills (data literacy skills);
  • You have good presentation and marketing skills to promote the adoption of the data products you build;
  • You are willing to continuously learn about new topics. You stay abreast of new data tools, techniques, and technologies;
  • You can build relationships in a consultative style. You have good networking skills;
  • You can influence, constructively challenge, and negotiate at all levels;
  • You are organized and fully autonomous;
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;
