The opportunity

We are currently looking for a Marketing Director in the EMEA region, who will be reporting to the CEO EMEA and preferably be based in our headquarters in Berchem, Belgium.

Mission

The Marketing Director EMEA brings together existing marketing resources, builds the marketing organization and demonstrates value by setting up marketing proof of concepts (POCs) within the EMEA region. (S)He will:

  • drive marketing and go-to-market strategies for Azelis' digital and off-line marketing, e-commerce and customer service solutions;
  • lead the EMEA content development strategy, guidelines and planning;
  • steer Azelis business in best practices regarding EMEA marketing campaigns and SEO/SEA, and ensure performance benchmarking and reporting on marketing campaigns and activations.

Main Accountabilities

The EMEA Marketing Director ensures the following accountabilities within the EMEA region:

  • Bring marketing resources together and further reinforce a marketing department with various complementing skillsets
  • Bring in hands-on mentality and creative marketing concepts, demonstrate the value by delivering inspiring proof of concepts (POCs)
  • Provide marketing strategy framework for Azelis market segments within the region, ensuring close alignment with the market segment strategies and plans
  • Provide content development guidelines, process, tooling and templates
  • Work with key stakeholders to connect customer insight from multiple digital channels to the core Azelis platforms (CRM, WeChat, etc.) and drive business transformation for data-driven sales approach
  • Ensure the delivery of social/digital analytics and trends
  • Ensure continuous optimization of marketing activities that drive traffic to Azelis digital channels (SEO/SEM)
  • Work with digital channel owners to optimize brand and marketing budgets, set targets, and report data to measure effectiveness of campaign results
  • Stimulate connected customer experience -thinking, driving Azelis’ strategic approach towards integrated, connected, and personalized digital customer/principal journey
  • Represent Azelis EMEA in relevant sales and marketing industry forums. You are the EMEA ambassador of Azelis digital experience platforms and sales and marketing capabilities
  • Bring in external insight on digital sales and marketing innovations
  • Influence stakeholders at different levels of the organization on new ways of approaching marketing
  • Brand content creation for the own-brand products of Azelis
  • Maintain relationships to preferred agencies relevant to your area (creative design, translation services)
  • Coach, mentor and develop marketing team members and local sales teams to raise Azelis’ overall digital strategy and sales and marketing capabilities

Qualification & Skills

  • Ready to work in an international, rapidly changing and challenging environment, who is passionate about developing innovative digital customer journeys
  • Strong knowledge about digital marketing techniques and developments in this space
  • Strong skills in iterative, agile organization and process development
  • Min 8 years of experience in B2B2C marketing, experience in chemicals and/or ingredients is a plus
  • You are a proactive team player and excellent communicator at all levels of business, and you work comfortably in global, multi-cultural and cross-functional setting
  • Motivated, energetic self-starter with strong problem solving, relationship building and leadership skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree
