As VIE Junior Financial Controller you will cover several areas of responsibility.
You will actively participate in budgeting and forecasting in close collaboration with the local sales organization (KAMs). Further, you will support the Financial Reporting, Controlling Manager and local team in Gross to Net analysis and ensure that the sales teams have adequate tools and models to support the development of the annual plan. Other aspects are the preparation of the commercial income statement (by SKU) and routine analyses on financial statements or financial information (sensitivity analysis, performance analysis, variance analysis, cost-benefit analysis, effect analysis, etc.).
You will support the preparation of the monthly net sales close and gross margin value chain simulation and share the preparation and presentation with the Controlling Manager of the monthly closing in order to help the company understand trends and make decisions. Additionally, you will prepare the promotion ROI analysis and suggest improvements to the local team. The customer profitability analysis and overall presentation to the local finance team and SLT will be done on a sessional basis.
In order to provide commercial support to the sales teams, you will analyze and evaluate annual commercial agreements with customers and ensure that agreements are properly reported in the books. You will collaborate in the preparation of the quarterly C&D audit and alignment as well as the annual audit request.
To ensure database management and data integrity in reporting systems, you will work with several databases and tools, such as Oracle Essbase, Oracle Hyperion Financial Management, SAP CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tools, and SAP BPC (Business Planning and Consolidation).
In close collaboration with the Finance/Marketing/Sales departments you will verify the profitability of new SKUs and prepare P&Ls. This includes following up on Group processes for new product creations and the verification of decomplexity and improvement proposals for the existing SKU portfolio, shared with management control and marketing teams.
We are looking for a candidate with a Master’s degree in Economics/Business/Controlling with a first experience (internship, apprenticeship) in a management control department. Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and database management is appreciated. A previous experience in the FMCG or distribution sector is considered a plus. The position requires strong organizational and analytical skills as well as a results-oriented mindset with a good balance between pragmatism and attention to detail.
To ensure efficient collaboration with key stakeholder good communication skills are key.
Advanced Excel skills are essential, as well as proficiency in English and French.
