We are seeking an experienced and dynamic IT Manager to join our team in Sint-Niklaas. The ideal candidate will lead our IT networking team, ensuring the smooth operation, security, and advancement of our IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for strategic planning, implementation, and management of IT resources to support our business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the IT department, ensuring efficient and effective performance.
  • Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Manage IT projects, including the budget, the design, deployment, and maintenance of systems and networks.
  • Engage stakeholders for requirements management:
    • Security requirements
    • Storage, compute, and system requirements
    • Alignment with corporate policies
    • Align with NATO/ EU/ NIS2 controls.
  • Drive continuous compliance and improvement for various IT elements in secure environments.
  • Plan capacity and planning for recurring task execution (as defined in ConOps/SecOps).
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Stay updated on the latest technology trends and innovations, recommending, and implementing upgrades as necessary.
  • Local point of contact for all related IT activities, audits and manage the network team globally.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Coordinate IT operation activities, including security monitoring and incident management.
  • Support the ongoing efforts to maintain and enhance our global ISO27001-based Information Security Management System (ISMS), in collaboration with the ISMS Officer.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience as an IT Manager or similar role in a technology-driven environment.
    • Knowledge of cyber security good practices, Adversary tactics, techniques & protocols
    • Experience with compliance frameworks (ISO27001, NIST or similar)
    • Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, hardware, and software.
  • Experience with cybersecurity and data protection practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of Dutch is an advantage.

Requirements

  • European Union citizenship is mandatory with a minimum of 5-year residence in Belgium, Belgian citizenship is preferred to ease the request for personal security clearance.
  • In possession of or willing & capable to get national (Belgian) security clearance.
