Requirements:

  • At least 3 years’ experience working on Joomla CMS & experience of other e-commerce platforms such as WordPress preferred;
  • At least 3 years’ experience working with PHP Framework;
  • 3+ years’ experience creating websites in a production environment;
  • Excellent Joomla, HTML and CSS skills;
  • Strong understanding of APIs backing the client-side UI logic;
  • Strong understanding of Customer relationship management (CRM);
  • Strong understanding of Jquery/JavaScript;
  • Experience with responsive design/implementation;
  • Practice methods to ensure browser & device compatibility;
  • Familiar with Photoshop and how to grab image assets from PSD files;
  • Ability to self-manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong interpersonal skills that encourage team cooperation, promote enthusiasm, and motivate strategic thinking;
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills;
  • Must be able to provide examples of work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Modification and maintenance of websites and web applications;
  • Hand coding of landing pages upon design completion;
  • Take Photoshop-based website designs and convert them into W3C compliant front-end code;
  • Style HTML elements after content is entered on a website;
  • Review business requirements;
  • Perform a technical analysis of requirements;
  • Write clean, modular, robust code to implement the desired requirements;
  • Plan, implement, manage, monitor and upgrade the ISN's websites, specifically:
    1. https://www.theisn.org/;
    2. https://www.wcn2020.org/.
  • Respond to and troubleshoot all website issues on a timely basis, updating ISN management of significant issues on occurrence and all issues on a regular basis;
  • Identify and respond to all website security breaches and inform ISN management immediately on occurrence and of corrective action taken to cure the breaches and remedial actions to prevent reoccurrence;
  • Ensure that each website is protected by enabling the appropriate security measures, reviewing them on an ongoing basis and updating as required to maintain website integrity at all times;
  • Update HTML, CSS and JavaScript regularly. Test websites for compatibility with latest versions of HTML, CSS and JavaScript prior to implementation of upgrades, taking appropriate action to resolve any issues identified during testing;
  • Maintain and upgrade website systems by conferring with vendors and service providers, developing, testing, evaluating, and installing infrastructure enhancements and new software;
  • Review new website content and add to the website(s) as required, ensuring it is aligned to the ISN’s strategy and branding;
  • Collaborate with all staff and management to ensure that the website(s) aligns with brand strategy and meets the ISN’s standards.

The Society represents a wide international network and provides an efficient platform for timely scientific exchange, debate and dissemination between healthcare professionals around the world. It is also dedicated to addressing the disparity between the developing and developed worlds in the research, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of kidney disease.

The ISN has 10,000 professional members from more than 126 countries. In addition, it closely collaborates with over 70 national and regional nephrology societies worldwide, representing about 20,000 professionals.
