The Association: we are the leading trade association for telecom operators in Europe. Our job is to work closely with our members and the EU institutions’ community to achieve a better policy and regulatory environment for digitalising Europe. We shape industrial and policy agendas in a fast-changing sector and we work in a dynamic, disruptive and fast-paced environment. We maintain and grow a strong network of senior level executives and institutional representatives.

The profile: we are looking for a service-oriented, precise, proactive and diplomatic Office Coordinator to help manage the ETNO secretariat and support a 9-people Team.

Main tasks: Proactive and top-level assistance to the Director General and the broader 9-people team (including agenda keeping, liaising with Executive Assistants at the Board/CEO/Ministerial/Commissioner level, booking travel arrangements, ensuring accreditations, …); Manage the day-to-day budget and accounting operations, in cooperation with the Director General, other office members and with the support of an external accountant; Ensure the office premises run smoothly, in cooperation with the HR & Events manager; Secretariat of the Executive Board (including taking minutes); Maintaining and keeping the Office agenda; Compiling the weekly and monthly newsletters for ETNO member companies, in collaboration with other Team members.

  • Proactive: a great Office Coordination is an essential engine to ensure we offer the best service to our members and achieve the Association’s results;
  • Service-oriented: the members are the engine of ETNO and we want them to be happy of our service;
  • Diplomatic: we deal with senior level executives in the companies, but also with senior policymakers and politicians. Awareness of protocol and precision are crucial;
  • Precise: an excellent Team runs on a transparent, precise and well-maintained agenda, budget and accounts;
  • Open: ETNO means also very frequent Office-to-Members and Office-to-Stakeholders relationship. While you will spend many hours at the office, we have/host frequent social gatherings.

Languages and writing: ETNO’s working language is English, while most administrative issues can be dealt with in French. Proficiency in both is essential. Other languages, especially EU institution and/or Belgium’s official languages (German and Dutch respectively), are an asset. Good writing skills are important.
