The Portfolio Manager sets direction and investment portfolio needed to meet strategy objectives and has direct accountability for successful execution of project/program delivery.

Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the ADM EB roadmap team where you will lead the implementation and deliver Euroclear’s new Banking IT infrastructure.

You are motivated to work in a challenging environment, leading several project teams, taking full ownership of the new IT Banking infrastructure, committing to results while preserving a highly collaborative and supportive work environment.

As part of your role, you will:

  • Provide advice, guidance and options with regards IT investments for the new Euroclear Banking infrastructure;
  • Lead the implementation of the different IT projects required to deliver the new Banking infrastructure, leveraging your Banking functional expertise;
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with your customer, mainly the banking business team;
  • Manage the portfolio’s budget, monitoring expenditure and costs against delivered;
  • Lead the risks, issues, dependencies and change control processes for the portfolio;
  • Control and monitor the progress of projects, reporting to the Roadmap Manager and the Sponsorship Committee.

Qualifications

Technical skills:

  • You have at least 7 years managing IT Infrastructure projects in the Banking sector, in the integration of Banking application/software;
  • Understanding the portfolio management concepts as well as banking/financial knowledge concepts is key in order to succeed in this role;
  • You have an advanced knowledge of Banking processes and systems;
  • You have been in charge of complex IT projects/programs in the Banking sector;
  • Experience with Outsourcing partners;
  • You have a Master degree and are fluent in English;
  • PMI/Prince2 certifications are considered as an asset.

Soft skills:

  • Strong leadership, people management and organizational skills;
  • Strong interpersonal effectiveness and communication skills (written and oral);
  • Effective and creative in solving problems with the ability to identify issues and fix, or identify the internal resources to assist;
  • You have excellent analytical skills;
  • You like to work in a team, to coordinate and you can adapt your approach depending on your counterpart (department heads, business owners, peers, other divisions, etc.);
  • You obtain approval of others with good arguments, appropriate influencing methods and personal authority (persuasion);
  • You are result-oriented and able to work against tight deadlines;
  • You have excellent communication skills (written and verbal);
  • Strong ability to manage changes;
  • Fluent in English (oral and written).
