Your role
As Product Manager Bakery Products in the central team, you are responsible of the success of all phases of the product or portfolio life cycle within a product category. You have an essential role in bringing operational excellence in innovation/renovation quality, artwork, and master data. You develop a strong product expertise and are the go-to person for all product related topics.
You report to the International Category Manager.
Your main responsibilities are:
- Analyse and constantly monitor the product portfolio (quality, volumes, distribution, profitability,…);
- Develop a consolidated group approach for portfolio strategy to implement portfolio optimization based on local needs/brands; lead the implementation together with local product managers;
- Lifecycle product management tasks: artwork management, master data, code creation, volume consolidation, technical product sheets, pricing recommendation…;
- Co-lead the implementation from concept to product launch, prepare launch materials (pictures, selling materials…);
- Share best practices amongst countries on portfolio management & catalogue of innovation;
- Perform post launch analysis & make actionable recommendations;
- Link to R&D & Supply Chain. Be the product quality guardian;
- Validation of transfers (for plant locations) for big shared SKUs in collaboration with R&D;
- Consolidate competition product benchmarks based on local input and bring key take-outs in an actionable way.
Are you the one we’re looking for?
- You have a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field combined with a first experience in Product Marketing;
- You are passionate about good, tasty food;
- You are detail oriented and have a structured mindset;
- You are data-driven, love to perform in depth analysis and propose optimizations based on the key take-outs;
- You have excellent project management skills, for implementation of innovation/key projects as a good eye for details;
- You have relevant experience in portfolio management;
- You have excellent communication skills, you connect easily and naturally to other (remote) teams, in English. Other languages are a plus.
- You have a clear and structured approach which is necessary to drive a cross-functional way-of-working.
