Job Description

Join our Finance and Accounting team as a GL Accountant, where you'll play a key role in financial analysis and reporting for our EMEA business area. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll drive month-end closures, ensure accurate reporting, and collaborate with the finance community to implement best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead month-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely group reporting.
Enhance financial processes through standardisation and automation.
Collaborate with EMEA finance teams to implement shared services and best practices.
Manage local vs. IFRS reporting differences, prepare variance analyses, and ensure accurate accruals.
Prepare and coordinate requests for both internal and external audits.
Drive the preparation and filing of statutory accounts, working directly with auditors and stakeholders to ensure compliance.
Support the Finance Manager in handling transfer pricing documentation and statutory/tax obligations.
Provide adhoc financial analyses and support the business controlling teams on balance sheet insights.

Qualifications

About You:

Bachelor's degree in Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
5 years of accounting experience, with a solid background in tax and audit processes in a similar role within an international environment.
Strong knowledge of Belgian GAAP and IFRS reporting standards.
Proficient in ERP software, we use IFS.
Excellent analytical skills with hands-on financial expertise.
Organised, adaptable and capable of balancing multiple tasks.
Able to see the bigger picture while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
Fluent in English, with a working knowledge of Dutch being a strong asset.
