We are looking for an Accounts Payable (A/P) professional to join our Corporate Accounting team at Aliaxis’ headquarters, based in Brussels.

Our ideal candidate will have experience handling the AP accounting for Belgian (and Luxembourg) entities, ideally within an international environment, with knowledge of BE GAAP and BE VAT, but also solid experience with intra-community VAT principles.

Job description

The A/P Accountant is the key expert in the Accounts Payable area and activities within the Corporate Accounting team for Aliaxis BELUX Holdings & Corporate Entities.

This is an opportunity to manage the entire A/P cycle from A to Z, which includes: invoice approval workflow, posting of A/P invoices, regular follow-up of overdue balances & supplier payments, preparation of payments in the banking system, bookkeeping of bank statements, monitoring of expense reports.

Working closely with the Group Senior Accountant, the role will also include the preparation of VAT returns, as well as contributing to various ad-hoc projects within the team (including process improvements identification).

The role is based in our modern global head office in an easily accessible location in Brussel, with flexible remote working options.

Requirements  

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting;
Relevant AP experience, with BE GAAP, in an international environment;
Solid knowledge of BE VAT principles;
Demonstrated experience with international transactions and Intra-community VAT;
Knowledge of LU GAAP is a plus;
Fluent in English (knowledge of French/Dutch appreciated);
Experience of working with an ERP (SAP S/4 Hana highly appreciated);
Hands-on approach, ability to work autonomously, can-do mindset;
Team player with good communication skills;
Motivation to work in a fast paced environment, transformational and international environment.
