Senior Accountant

Key activities

You will work autonomously and closely with another Senior Accountant in a team of 5, lead by the Chief Financial Officer of the group. Amongst other activities, you will be responsible of the bookkeeping of an affiliate closely with the local controller and with the Finance Project Manager of the Group. You will have a direct impact on the financial organization of the company; improving our financial processes by setting-up controls, standardizing and digitalizing our ways of working.

What we expect as key activities:

  • Follow and achieve day-to-day accounting (purchase to pay activities, payroll bookings, credit card bookings, process employee expense notes),
  • Follow-up on Financial operations; accounting - bank reconciliation
    • Perform VAT and ISOC declarations,
    • Perform Intrastat and Intracom declarations,
    • Prepare quarterly and monthly closings,
    • Prepare yearly closings and annual accounts,
    • Support to the annual audit preparation
  • Take active part of finance projects with the CFO and the Finance Project Manager
  • Work on the continuous improvement of accounting processes.

We expect from you to be creative, pro-active and to challenge the processes currently in place.

Must have

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance,
  • 3-5 years of experience in Accounting,
  • Fluent in French and English,
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills,
  • Open, pragmatic, dynamic,
  • Organized, structured
  • Autonomous & independent,
  • Open to take responsibilities/ownership
  • Able to easily develop working relationships with colleagues at all levels.

Nice to have

  • Experience with start-up or PME environment.
  • First experience in the industrial sector is a plus (space, aviation or production sector is an asset),
  • Knowledge of Odoo is a strong plus,
