Your role
In this role you and your team will work together with important partners to accomplish data-driven projects that bring business value. You will build and maintain good relationships with divisional management and business and IT stakeholders worldwide.
You will guide and coach 3 teams (28 FTE in total and growing – 4 direct reports), consisting of the Data Platform Architects, a PowerBI competence center and a Data Project office. You manage several external suppliers that help your organization with both delivery as with the long-term roadmap.
You will report into the Vice-President IS/IT and you are part of the PT-IT management team.
Your main mission:
- You will be a single point of contact towards business and IT stakeholders;
- You will manage the data services roadmap and priorities to cater for the current and future needs on data availability and usage;
- You will prepare budgets and stay in control of all data services related costs;
- You will manage the implementation of quality assurance processes on the offered data services;
- You will lead us towards a service organization that covers the globe. (building teams in NASA and APAC);
- You will link with other data organizations within the Atlas Copco group to look for cooperation.
You will manage the following teams, (each team has a team lead), with the following scope:
- Platform and architecture
- Develop the platform architecture to become future-proof (volume/performance);
- Detect automation opportunities and implement accordingly;
- Translate into operational 'services';
- Set up 'data operations': ensuring that all incidents are (pro)actively recorded and structurally resolved;
- Availability of data sources;
- Report availability.
- PowerBI Competence Center
- Intake and delivery of PowerBI reporting;
- Manage existing reports;
- Manage consultants and/or suppliers to lead a qualitative delivery with respect to the set deadlines.
- Data Project Office
- Intake and delivery of complex data processes/platform migrations;
- Ongoing communication and project governance and delivery.

- You have 5+ years of management experience in a large enterprise environment;
- You have a university master's degree in computer science, commercial engineering or you can rely on relevant job experience;
- You have experience with data technologies & methodologies for data exposure, storage and transformation in the context of data science, business analytics and business intelligence;
- You are willing to travel up to 20% of your time;
- You are fluent in English, as this is our internal language.
Important areas of expertise are:
- Platform/IT architecture knowledge in the Microsoft eco-system;
- Service-driven, customer-centric attitude;
- Project management and change management skills;
- Translate complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand principles for a non-IT audience.
