Role purpose

This role has a high strategic relevance and significant divisional financial impact, by enabling the definition, roll out and end to end management of the IT products that support the digital business strategies of the Sales & Marketing functions within RHG. Ensuring the associated services (for definition, deployment and run) are maintained and delivered in line with business & customer requirements.

This gathers a unique combination of IT knowledge, (Enterprise Architect & Product management), a deep understanding of our S&M stakeholders’ goals and their technical and operational needs.

Key Roles And Responsibilities

  • Strategy: Define and drive the Application Portfolio for the S&M domain to support the S&M division, contributing as the IT expert on the IT Application Portfolio and IT Enterprise Architecture for the S&M domain (CRM, Content Management, Marketing Automation, Customer analytics, branding, customer care & quality, CXM…);
  • Solution Design: Ensure professional alignment of IT Products and Technologies across lifecycle (design, build, deploy and run) , by leveraging the mix of internal and vendor resources. Assess the impact of new IT products to close functional gaps or add new features from security, compliance, support and overall IT Total Cost of Ownership;
  • Product Management: Responsible for the IT Solution planning throughout the solution lifecycle, including gathering, prioritizing, mapping product and business requirements, defining the product vision from IT standpoint (reusable, scalable, integrated and cost efficient) and ensure product evolution is aligned with business requirements;
  • Stakeholder Management: act as the primary IT lead to the S&M business counterparts, to jointly define IT strategy to support the business needs (5YP, innovation and other domain specific initiatives -on-line check-in/out, choose your room, self-check-in…);
  • Innovation: supporting the VP IT Enterprise Architect (EA) on the IT components of the overall RHG Innovation framework. Identifies best practices and guides the business at global level towards realistic replication of existing solutions. Acts as visionary and strategist for IT Products, Solutions and Technologies on the S&M space, by proactively understanding business trends and IT market evolution and thus shaping the target IT landscape;
  • Budget Management: Works along with the VP IT Solutions & above from yearly financial planning, though budget forecast and control, to guarantee corporate goals are met in the most cost-effective way. This includes continues efficiencies (through innovation and continuous improvement cycles) as well as value generation & tracking;
  • People management: From stakeholders to external partners, it ensures the proper relations are established across the board. When needed, he ensures that direct & indirect reports get developed to their full potentials and lead the recruiting process when required, so that we have the right profiles with the right skill-set working for the organization;
  • Service Delivery: Accountable for the service levels within the S&M area, works closely with the Service Management tower to ensure all products & solutions across the board get the best-in-class service as per defined KPI/SLAs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar;
  • Minimum experience: +15 years in IT in large sophisticated organizations with high volume/high transaction environment;
  • +10 years in a Global/Area/Regional Senior IT Management role;
  • +5 years experience in Sales & Marketing management roles, including experience in Hospitality and/or related industries (Tourism, F&B…);
  • Experience in IT vendor management;
  • Excellent technical knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, Devops, SCRUM....);
  • Evidence of successful product launch and full lifecycle management;
  • Significant knowledge and experience in CRM product, project/program management;
  • Significant experience in implementing complex IT solutions within a business unit and customer-facing environment;
  • Significant experience as Solution Architect, successfully integrating new products;
  • Good experience in multiple technologies (e.g. SOA, SaaS, Webservices...);
  • Able to deliver through a matrix and solid-line organization;
  • Global customer engagement experience able to empathize and translate business needs in to IT requirements;
  • Outcome focused, particularly around financial growth and customer retention;
  • Broad range of technical/functional skills: databases & big data, privacy & security, Cloud (architecture, commercials, SLAs...), Agile developments, Application framework, Enterprise application Integration, HTTP, REST, Cookies, GDPR, SEO (search engine optimization), SOM (social media optimization), PPC (pay per click), CMS (Content Management Systems), DAM (Digital Asset Management), CRM (Salesforce, SAP…), A/B testing & Multivariate testing, Web & social analytics, Data mining & analysis…;
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Marketing Automation, Web mechanics & KPIS, Social & Mobile Platforms/Analytics, Advertising networks, Marketing Applications, Data & Analytics tools...;
  • Soft skills: Customer oriented mindset, strategic thinking, results orientation, excellent communication skills, change agent;
  • Fluent in English, other languages are a plus.
