Job description

We are looking for a Northern Europe HR Generalist to join our growing HR Department. The role is based in Brussels. Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, this position joins a team of 5 employees based in France.

This varied role touches on everything from recruitment support to HR administration, projects, training & development & payroll.

What you will do

Focus areas, main duties, and responsibilities:

HR Projects:

  • Bring in ideas and take part to global HR projects;
  • Execute policies, plans, and procedures;
  • Work with HR Team & Managers on projects as needed.

HR Advice:

  • Being the first point of contact and go-to-person for employees regarding all operational HR related matters such as holidays, sickness, employment contracts, payroll, etc.
  • Onboarding Support: HR administration of new hires and collaboration with the Recruitment team.

Operational HR management:

Execute human resources administrative functions:

  • Administration of local and international pension and social security requirements and systems;
  • Administrating the employee lifecycle, including job changes and terminations, drafting all documents, updating systems and communicating with payroll while ensuring we stay GDPR compliant;
  • Provide payroll provider with all needed information for Belgium payroll;
  • Follow-up of the probationary period and exit interviews;
  • Owning illness reporting;
  • Managing the relationship with ttif & arbo;
  • HR Data & Reporting: Collaborate with Finance department on Bonuses & Sales Commission reports and payments.

Preferred experience

Required Qualities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent;
  • 2/3 years experience in the Human Resources field, preferably in an international environment;
  • Experience in rapid growth organizations.

Required Knowledge:

  • Analytical skills;
  • Administrative skills;
  • Fluent in French and English;
  • Mature, well-organized, a self-starter with enthusiasm and initiative;
  • Ability to work at a fast pace with an eye for detail;
  • Customer-oriented, approachable and strong interpersonal skills;
  • A good team player.

Nice to Have:

  • Dutch and German (read, written, spoken) would be a plus.
