Position Summary

The Key Account Manager – OTR OEM will be responsible to support, develop & progress the agreed business strategy agreed between BS & our client.

This individual will coordinate with multiple Bridgestone and OE customer business units to expand Bridgestone OTR tire purchase share through total customer support, effectively increasing the frequency of Customer or Machine Dealer specified tire fitments.

The role will be based in Europe (likely Brussels or Sweden) to enable closest communications with the relevant OE team.

It will also be expected that the individual provides business intelligence about strategic OEM future tire and service requirements. The key outcome should be to increase global OTR tire purchases while supporting all other corporate and Strategic Business Unit (SBU) goals.

Key internal relationships for this role include Bridgestone OTR department, Bridgestone EMEA, and BS sales organizations in USA, Australia, Brazil, India & China.

Responsibilities

Strategic Partnership Management:

  • Develop relationship at all levels of OEM HQ, from operational to senior management, in product management, supply chain, engineering, & marketing areas;
  • Expand relationship with OEM factories globally, together with local Bridgestone sales and engineering teams;
  • Maintain proper communication routes to ensure business decisions are discussed with all key stakeholders.

New Business Development Support and Total Coordination:

  • Seek out and execute opportunities to increase OTR tire sales through collaboration with the OEM, their distributors & Dealer networks to include involvement of local Bridgestone sales offices;
  • Engage OEM and Bridgestone marketing and sales teams to develop programs and communications materials that increase end-user demand for OE fitment of Bridgestone OTR tires;
  • Gather and analyze OEM export data to each Bridgestone SBU in order to ensure adequate aftermarket support, for marketing purposes as well as replacement tire supply and field engineering service.

Technical Collaboration:

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with OEM engineering and quality departments;
  • Participate in OEM new machine development projects to identify and promote the most suitable tires for the intended application(s);
  • Gather and submit to OEM all data and documents from Bridgestone technical centers and sales engineering as necessary for product approval by the OEM;
  • Implement Bridgestone’s QA process at OEM to confirm quality and performance of our products.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering;
  • Minimum 3 years experience in OEM account management or OTR tire sales/engineering;
  • Track record of applying sound judgment when responding to difficult customer demands;
  • Ability to clearly communicate business and technical information;
  • Experience working within and/or selling to a global organization structure, including general knowledge of supply chain management and procurement processes;
  • Enthusiasm to work with people from diverse cultures and ability to effectively communicate globally using Common English. Additional languages will be considered a significant advantage;
  • Personal commitment to required core competencies;
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in analyzing customer tire requirements and recommending solutions, especially relating to mining and construction applications;
  • Experience in OEM account management, including an understanding of standard OEM processes for procurement, new part approval, price quotations, and monitoring of quality/delivery metrics;
  • Familiarity with the global Bridgestone organization, particularly as it relates to commercial and specialty tires.
