The Global product Manager Platform is responsible for the the strategy, roadmap and feature definition of the Idylla platform, in sync with the assay developments, including all marketing aspects of the product lifecycle, voice of the customer, market position, financial analysis and forecasting.

He/She will define the long and medium term software and data strategy for the Idylla platform as the centerpiece of the Biocartis strategy.

He/She will develop and implement the data analysis strategy for the Idylla platform, including the integration of artificial intelligence and machine learning, for internal use (product maintenance, product development and product improvements) and external use (data mining).

He/She will support the go-to-market organisation with documentation (regulatory, clinical,…); coordination (cross-functional project management, strategy, prioritisation,…) and global marketing support ( training, publications, scientific KOL, legal and regulatory,…).

He/She will establish the customer oriented service and maintenance strategies.

The Idylla platform consists of Idylla Instrument hard- & software and Idylla Console hard- & software, OQ cartridge, Idylla Connect, Idylla Explore, Idylla Data Connector, Portal and Assay specific software development tooling.

Accountabilities

Product strategy development and implementation:

  • Develop, implement and annually review the business strategy for the Idylla software and data franchise;
  • Establish strategies and action plans that will increase usability and/or profitability based on desk and field market research as well as data analysis and regulatory requirements;
  • Make connectivity a prerequisite for Idylla system; develop data analysis strategies and implementation for product Idylla. Incorporate workflow analysis into the thinking;
  • Define an Idylla Web Portal eco-system;
  • Responsible for creating a software vision based on web approach with the goal to reduce complexity, implementation cost, support etc.;
  • Development of marketing specifications to be used in the design of the Idylla software based on market research, customer segmentation insights, long term clinical trends and technical test results;
  • Develop the capabilities of the Idylla Studio development software;
  • Develop the global product business plan (1 year and 3 years horizon) for the Idylla platform product positioning, pricing strategy, customer segmentation, and data requirements to support the product.

Lead commercial activities:

  • Build and maintain a worldwide network of KOL’s for the Idylla user interface, software and data franchise;
  • Identify scientific data needed to drive commercial success. Initiate studies needed to fill the gaps;
  • Write and publish white papers relevant to the Idylla platform;
  • Be knowledgeable of international regulations that could impact critical elements of product commercialisation. Together with the Regulatory Team, responsible for the coordination of regulatory aspects (FDA, CE, GDPR, HIPPA,…) for product software franchise;
  • Conduct cross market target group analysis (end user profiles, professional community, laboratory stakeholders, distributors) and suggest and implement recommendations for improved commercial performance;
  • Maintain intelligence on the market dynamics of product franchise, including competitive landscape, and competitors’ products;
  • Support sales people on customer visits every now and then, particularly in large/important customers.

Operational support:

  • Be the product champion; Be the driving force behind the Idylla hardware projects;
  • Communicate routinely with liaisons in regional sales teams to provide updates on product performance, competitive activities, new scientific data, product launches and other relevant information. Follow up on platform complaints and pro-actively look for solutions;
  • Develop and update content for train the trainer programs in the technical, marketing and regulatory area;
  • Be responsible for Platform Post marketing surveillance driving the Idylla platform improvements and corrections;
  • Be responsible for Service contracts/service strategy;
  • Be part of the Platform steering committee at Biocartis;
  • Best practice propagation and sharing.

Education, profile & competencies

  • Minimum a Bachelor degree in a Engineering or Informatics or related field; or equivalent through experience;
  • At least 3 years of marketing experience in the medical device and/or medical software industry in combination with a business degree (example MBA) is required;
  • Good understanding of user interface development and front end development;
  • Experience in diagnostics is an asset;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with success in promoting products;
  • Have a high level of comfort with interpreting and communicating complex technical information, including analytical and clinical concepts;
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels throughout the organization;
  • Sense of strategic planning & tactical implementation skills;
  • Ability to analyze potential markets and provide accurate, insightful market analysis/planning;
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills;
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Key to your success will be your communication skills and your ability to build excellent relationships with internal stakeholders and external collaborators as required;
  • Demonstrated understanding of how to achieve results under tight timelines;
  • Ability to work independently, yet collaboratively, in cross-functional project teams and to contribute to multiple projects;
  • Strong interpersonal skills: ability to establish rapport and productive relationships;
  • Ability to thrive and flourish in a fast-paced and changing environment;
  • Willing to travel up to 30% internationally;
  • Excellent knowledge of English is required; knowledge of other European languages is a plus;
  • Knowledge of standard MS Office Software.
