Mission

The Market Analyst initiates and steers sales activities in the assigned regions and/or channels based on the analysis and evaluation of market and/or channel specific data. He/she identifies opportunities and threats in sales, marketing and pricing areas and supports in driving related business processes.

Tasks

Key result area 1: Analysis & Reporting (40%):

  • Monitoring, analysing, developing and adapting of reports, tools and workflows;
  • Monitor digital & ancillary sales channels performance/business development and initiate/coordinate commercial recommendations/adjustments in coordination with Sales, marketing and pricing Analysts;
  • Contributing to the creation of sales promoting activities and monthly/weekly action plans through analysis of market and/or channel specific data;
  • Continuously monitoring, developing and adapting reporting set;
  • Continuously evaluating market development (Competitor and partner monitoring);
  • Generating data for sales channel management and online push;
  • Market/channel specific and ad-hoc reporting/analysis;
  • Distributing market and competitor information within the organisation.

Key result area 2: Commercial Strategy setting and execution (40%):

  • Contributing to the yearly planning and budgeting process (revenue, incentives, sales channels);
  • Ensuring a seamless flow of information and cooperation with all departments (interface between sales, marketing & pricing);
  • Identification of sales trends and development of appropriate sales strategies in coordination with Sales/pricing Analysts;
  • Regular (yearly + intermediate) assessment of digital & ancillary product portfolio, including customer segmentation, in coordination with sales & marketing dpts;
  • Monthly revenue forecasting;
  • Monthly incentive forecasting (across all sales channels) in cooperation with account management and sales support.

Key result area 3: Miscellaneous (20%)

  • Keeping up-to-date with all technical developments regarding reporting tools;
  • Working closely with and providing back-up for the Sales, marketing & pricing Analysts;
  • Participating at sales/commercial meetings;
  • Participate in and/or manage projects in liaison with the goal of the job;
  • Interface digital channel and marketing with local sales organizations for relevant matters.

Profile

  • Professional Masters (preferably in quantitative studies eg; statistics, mathematics, economics etc.);
  • >2 years professional experience preferred;
  • Good understanding of the aviation industry and their main performance indicators;
  • Know-how of following sales tools preferred: MP @ WEB, SIRAX, LH MIDT tools, and other Sales tools, incl. CORONA, Amadeus, MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word etc.;
  • Strong analytical skills and not afraid to think out of the box;
  • Ability to work with numbers/figures;
  • Ability to work and interact with people from all hierarchy levels;
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills: both written and orally (English);
  • Proactive attitude;
  • Assertiveness;
  • Team player;
  • Intercultural, customer-oriented;
  • Not afraid to take initiative and able to work independently.
