Global trade association, PPTA, seeks and an administrative assistant to provide secretarial and project support for fast-paced international association located in Brussels. Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing calendars for assigned staff as required;
  • Arranging travel needs for assigned staff as required;
  • Processing expense reports as required;
  • Scheduling and organizing committee meetings, conference calls, and other meetings for assigned staff and projects;
  • Assisting in logistics of annual conferences as assigned;
  • Traveling as required for meeting organization;
  • Providing liaison between committee members and assigned staff;
  • Preparing and distributing meeting materials, correspondence and other documents;
  • Formatting, distributing and archiving presentations (PowerPoint);
  • Researching and obtaining relevant scientific literature and health policy references as required;
  • Adhering to Association policies and procedures, including, but not limited to, document management policies and procedures;
  • Working with other administrative staff and support other special projects related to the activities of the association as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • High-school diploma or equivalent;
  • Bachelor degree preferred;
  • Certificate in secretarial studies will be considered in lieu of degree;
  • Minimum of three years administrative assistant experience in alignment with duties below;
  • Experience supporting multiple supervisors, desirable;
  • Association experience, desirable.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Fluency in German and English, written and verbal, as well as local language;
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills;
  • High-initiative, organized individual with the ability to set goals, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines;
  • Quality and detail-oriented;
  • Ability to work with internal and external senior managers, their assistants and external vendors;
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both U.S. and European members, staff and officials;
  • Good judgment and willingness to learn;
  • Team player;
  • Professional demeanor and service-oriented with poise and courtesy;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

The Plasma Protein Therapeutics Association (PPTA) is a dynamic trade association that represents a unique sector of the biologics and biotechnology industry. PPTA represents more than 650 human plasma collection centers in North America and Europe, as well as, the manufacturers of life-saving plasma protein therapies. Our members produce approximately 80 percent of the plasma protein therapies in the U.S. and 60 percent of those manufactured in Europe.
