Purpose of the position

  • The Software Project Manager is responsible for the planning, execution and delivery of product engineering projects with a strong focus on software projects;
  • He/she makes a project planning for each of the deliverables, follows up on progress and ensures that all the deliverables are released in time taking into account the applicable Biocartis quality processes and procedures. This includes communication to and from project stakeholder, sponsors, quality, dependent peers and other related groups;
  • The SW Project Manager is a member of the Project Management team and operating in the umbrella R&D group;
  • The SW Project Manager will mainly work on projects part of the Product Engineering area with a strong focus on software projects, however projects in other areas might be possible as well;
  • The Product Engineering SW projects are on the Idylla IVD embedded device, added value web services and supporting tooling.

Tasks/outcome domains

  • Define and document SW development planning and follow up on the execution ensuring projects are delivered to time, cost and quality objectives;
  • Organize demo and milestone meetings to inform stakeholder on scope, implementation and progress;
  • Understand and apply the established SW development processes, procedures and methods;
  • Understand the relations between the Biocartis software products in context of the Idylla program;
  • Report project status and progress to stakeholders and sponsors.

Profile and competencies

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent by experience;
  • At least three years of experience in software project management in an agile environment;
  • Experience in Project planning tool(s);
  • Agile Scrum methodology; preferably Scrum Master certified;
  • Solid English communication and documentation skills;
  • Full SW development cycle;
  • Change management;
  • Project risk management;
  • Preferably familiar with:
    • Strongly regulated environments, preferably medical;
    • SW validation.
  • Leadership skills;
  • Good communication and listening skills;
  • Well-developed time management skills;
  • Accurate and result-oriented;
  • Team player and motivator;
  • Able to make decisions;
  • An eye for customer satisfaction;
  • Able to manage 2 or more parallel projects;
  • Perfect English, written and spoken;
  • Thrives in a fast-paced and changing environment.
