Junior Consultant Financial Application Processes

Our client, a small and dynamic company, present in 5 European countries, specialized in the distribution and logistics of packages. In 2009, they expanded their business with 53 new eCommerce corporations, delivering 136,000 parcels daily across Europe to consumers who purchase on the internet.

This company, innovative and reliable, is one of the first B2B eLogistics corporations, experiencing growth of 30% last year is looking for a Junior Consultant Financial Application Processes to help them improve their financial processes and related technology platform.

Context :

To help this company with their important business expansion, the company will be developing new software products to manage the business. Part of this business transformation is to develop new financial applications to manage the processes related.

Your main tasks will be to:

• Maintain the functional process specifications and handle change requests for 2 key software packages, CODA Financials and HIGHDEAL Billing management system. Run the configuration, migration and functional application management for these applications. Communicate with developers and Project Manager;
• Maintain the existing legacy system;
• Map the financial processes (i.e. billing, self billing, money transfer and financial reporting) and write the functional analysis for all the additional customisations of the packages;
• Work on the technology roadmap to conduct a pre-study ‘as is and to be’ situation for new application; make a gap analysis and proof of concept;
• Evaluate the market for new potential vendors and applications;
• Capture the requirements with the business users (finance department) and make all functional specifications for the new application;
• Participate to the user acceptance testing process;
• Ensure all processes for new product releases are adhered to;
• Make application documentation and procedures necessary to facilitate technology transfer.

Skill set :

• Master or Engineering degree in commercial sciences;
• Experiencing modelling business processes in an environment such as: (ERP, Finance CODA, Billing systems, payments, banking, CRM, MRP, Supply Chain) systems;
• Data modelling tools (UML, Visio, Mega);
• Excellent theoretical understanding of finance and accounting processes;
• Strong interest for IT;
• Solid Microsoft Excel and Access knowledge;
• Good analytical skills;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills;
• Creative and independent thinker;
• Stress resistant and flexible attitude;
• Fluency in English a must (Fluency in either/and/or Spanish, German, French, Dutch is strong plus).
