DESCRIPTION

Device Forward Logistics Operations team is responsible for overseeing fulfillment operations, logistics, and inventory in support of one of the fastest growing and most innovative businesses. As a Device Operations Specialist, you will help support the EU fulfillment and operations team to ensure we deliver a world class, end-to-end user experience. You will be responsible for day-to-day tasks and improving and designing processes, focusing on logistics. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of cross-functional teams, including software, supply chain, customer service, and product management. The role requires strong written and verbal communication as well as the ability to define processes and issues and document standard operating procedures. It also requires creative problem solving, critical thinking, responsiveness, flexibility and the ability to succeed within an open collaborative environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Problem solve and design solutions to current processes and systems;
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying ways to streamline logistics processes;
  • Drive and support cost saving initiatives and opportunities within Kindle supply chain;
  • Manage and track day-to-day Device logistics operations acting as key point of contact with Amazon Fulfillment centers, Forwarders, Instock planning teams and Retail Kindle team;
  • Own the coordination of international inventory transfers between Amazon locations;
  • Handle daily, tactical issues, as well as large scale project management;
  • Key point of contact with Forwarders to secure capacity for ship movements and to ensure the on time delivery for all inbound shipments;
  • Support daily operations as a point of escalation for inbound/Fulfilment center queries;
  • Provide key metrics to management;
  • Manage multiple tasks and consistently meet deadlines;
  • Maintain documentation for internal training and reference.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or in related field;
  • Multiple years of experience in a project management role in supply chain operations, logistics or manufacturing;
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to think on your feet;
  • Advanced Excel experience required;
  • Experience in preparation, analysis and presentation of key performance data;
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting goals and objectives.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA degree;
  • Experience with Fulfillment center (FC) operations;
  • Experience with Lean/Six Sigma concepts and applications;
  • Experience in Data Warehouse and SQL;
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting goals and objectives.
